Riga Latvian Society House – The historical site of Riga settled right in the center of the city. The first building of the Riga Latvian Society House was built in 1869, but in 1908 it was destroyed by fire. Thanks to fast renovation works the house was rebuilt in 1909 by giving it the present look. In nowadays 5 beautiful banquet halls are offered here. The smallest has a capacity of 70 persons, but the largest one can take up to 600 persons.
The House of Blackheads – It is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The original house, built in 1344, was the headquarters of unmarried local merchants, known as the Blackheads. After complete renovation the building house possesses both a 28 meter gable, rising majestically above the square, and an impressive hall. This is an excellent place for majestic balls and exclusive dinners with a capacity of 400 persons.
Latvian National Opera house – The magnificent building of the Latvian National Opera dates back to 1860 and is settled next to the Riga Old Town. It has been described as one of the most beautiful opera buildings in Europe. The royal facade of the building is constructed in the style of Classicism, but during the reconstruction works in 1995 an authentic baroque interior was restored. This is the best place in Riga for exclusively elegant and royal banquets or presentations.
Railway museum – Founded in 1994, the museum is located in an old engine warehouse on the left bank of the Daugava River at Uzvaras Boulevard. The complex offers 130 m2 wide exhibition hall and a new large hall of 1050 m2 opened in 2000.
