Blueberry Travel is Latvian travel agency which is operated by local owner and it’s primary business is inbound travel. The company was established in 2004 under the name “Tava atputas agentura” (“Your Vacation Host”). In the beginning of 2009 rebranding took place and now we are known as Blueberry Travel.
From the very beginning the vision of the company has been to become a flexible inbound travel agency, which provides sustainable tourism products in cooperation with local communities.
The main goal of the company is to be the number one travel agency for off the beaten truck travellers visiting Latvia and Baltic States in general.
Since the very beginning Blueberry Travel has been working with function organization in Latvia – meetings, banquets, conferences, incentives, presentations. Different tours and excursions have been provided for cooperative and individual clients.
One of the most interesting projects Blueberry Travel has been involved in was leisure trips on an original schooner “Iris” (1945). During this project different programmes were provided including team-buildings, presentations, birthday parties and romantic cruises.
Since 2007 we are proud to be a member of whl.travel network. Being in a team of travel professionals has made us realize that we should be doing more within Riga and Latvia to support the local community, culture and environment.
Whl.travel is a network of online travel business franchises. It provides local partners (franchisees as Blueberry Travel) with a complete package to commercialize accommodations, tours, transfers and other services in destination. The local franchisee is connected to a global network of services, assisted by central and regional whl.travel offices in Prague, Cape Town, Sydney, Belo Horizonte and Miami. Whl.travel specializes in the independent travel market which is the largest travel segment in the world and growing rapidly and continuously. The company has partnership with global brands like National Geographic, Expedia, Viator and Intrepid Travel.
As a member of whl.travel our company owns and operates Hotel and Tour Booking Service web sites – www.latvia-hotels.travel and www.riga-hotels.lv . There are couple more under development at the moment.

I’m really passionate about what Blueberry Travel does.  I established the company when I was still studying Tourism Management at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences with an aim to create business providing leisure and business travel services in Latvia. I’ve always been thankful to whl.travel for inviting my company to join them, because I know that it’s a great opportunity to present Latvia as green and beautiful country.
I spend my spare time with my son and and travelling all around the world. Travel is a big part of my Life. No one can take away the things you’ve seen, heard and felt!

I joined the “Blueberry Travel” in 2005 when my brother Ivars (one of the founders of Blueberry Travel) invited me to join since I had been in the industry of function organization for more than seven years. I got carried away with the project, because of the opportunity to show the Real Latvia both to local and incoming travellers. I loved the idea about off-the-beaten track travellers and no-fast-food product offers.
I realize that I’ve not seen every spot worth visiting in Latvia myself…yet. That’s why I love to travel around Latvia and Baltic States with my both sons as much as possible.
